A New App for Veterinary Teams.

The mental health app
for vets made by a vet.
Veterinarians and all of the beautiful souls working in veterinary medicine are reported to experience relatively poor mental health compared to the general population, including elevated levels of anxiety, depression, and perceived stress, as well as occupation-specific conditions such as burnout, compassion fatigue, and secondary traumatic stress. As owners of a veterinarian clinic, we have felt and seen the impact of this in our veterinary community and wish to start addressing this through our innovative new mobile app.

Never has there been more urgency for us to champion mental health initiatives in our veterinary workplaces. We all know the cost of doing nothing.

The global veterinary clinics market is valued at approximately $100 billion. In contrast, very little is spent taking care of our workforce.

Slowly, gradually, we believe we CAN change the narrative. Let’s bring our love of animals, medicine and each other back to centre stage.
How it works:
Easy and fun daily practices are essential to realizing that YOU, a hero by all definitions, need self-compassion and self-care.
Additionally, a solution is needed for team leaders who genuinely want to know how their team is doing. One which removes our “people pleasing veneer” (we are all too nice!) and lets the team members share honestly and anonymously.
We must connect to each other and know that we are not alone. Veterinarians all over the world have a client who is just the worst, and a patient they would gladly see every day.
Let’s send each other some love.

You’re not alone
Send and receive positive emotional reinforcements.

Real connection
to your own team and to veterinary teams all over.

Be aware
Efficiently check in with your awesome self on the daily.

Share safely
Anonymous input is vital for team leaders who truly value how the team is feeling collectively.
BENEFITS

Heart
Feeling heard feels really good! We want you to enjoy your work (aka calling) and work safely so you can go home and be with the ones that you love.

Mind
Ultimately, the quality of our professional and personal lives is our own responsibility. With increased resiliency for our entire veterinary community, we can get back to confidently saying “bring on that Parvo pup!”.

Value
Vet clinics who take steps toward improving mental health are more likely to reduce team stress (and costs!) from absenteeism and turnover. Nobody we know loves short-staffed days.

How ya doing?
